PSHE
Curriculum Intent
It is our intent to provide all children with a broad and balanced curriculum that aims to assist children to prepare for adult life by supporting them through their physical, emotional and moral development and helping them to understand themselves, respect others and form and sustain healthy relationships within our school and in the wider world.
We want our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) curriculum to:
- promote children’s moral, social, spiritual, cultural and physical development through a broad and balanced PSHE curriculum.
- support children to build safe and healthy relationships now and in the future.
- develop children’s self-confidence and self-esteem so they can be active and happy members of the school community.
- provide children with opportunities for gaining cultural capital (either within school or in the local community).
- understand factors which allow us to have a healthy lifestyle.
- understand the importance of British Values.
